オハイオ州高速道路警察によると、（現地時間）3月3日12時45分金曜日、警察官に（住所） I-70WB near mile post 85 in Jefferson Township にて事故発生との通報を受け出動。
インディアナ州アレクサンドリア出身、Ashley Green（アシュリー＝グリーン氏、Felix氏のご友人）の運転する2001年製フォード・エスコートが操縦不能となり西行きの2014年製フライトライナー・トラクタートレイラ―に衝突したという。衝突後、両者は道路を外れガードレールに接触し静止した。
フォード・エスコートの乗員、インディアナ州ミュンシー出身Aaron Mullins（アーロン＝ミュリンズ氏、Felix氏の本名）はその際に死亡。Ashley Greenは致命傷を負いMt. Carmel West病院へと搬送された。トラック運転手のミズーリ州セントルイス出身、Abdikarim Abdirahman（アブディカリム＝アブディラフマン氏）も軽傷を負い搬送されたとの事。
警察官は現在も事故の原因を調査中。事故が発生した際、すべての乗員はシートベルトを着用していたことが明らかとなっている。

WEST JEFFERSON, OH (WCMH)– The Madison County post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol say one person is dead following an early morning crash.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at about 12:45am, Friday, troopers were called to I-70WB near mile post 85 in Jefferson Township on the report of a crash.
Troopers say a 2001 Ford Escort, driven by Ashley Green, 24, of Alexandria Indiana, lost control and was struck by a 2014 Freightliner tractor trailer that was also traveling westbound.
After the collision, both vehicles traveled off the roadway and struck a guardrail.
A passenger in the Escort, Aaron Mullins, 24, of Muncie Indiana, was pronounced dead at the scene. Green was taken to Mt. Carmel West Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the truck, Abdikarim Abdirahman, 33, of Saint Louis, Missouri was transported with minor injuries.
Troopers continue to investigate the crash, but said all occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.
